With her signature blend of Hollywood sparkle, wine expertise and sharp wit, Frank is quickly becoming one of the most refreshing new voices in the parenting humor space.
Smart, funny, and exactly what every parent needs! A Wine Lover’s Guide to Parenting goes down easy and pairs perfectly with surviving parenthood. Danielle Frank serves up parenting truths with plenty of full-bodied laughs. I loved this book!
As a Master Sommelier, wine lover and a mom of two I can relate on every level to this book. I enjoy the clever and playful intertwining of great parenting lessons with wine terminology. This is a great book for that parent who loves wine and wants to 'wine down' with an easy but insightful read and learn both at once. The graphics are fab too!
This is a satirical book that transforms the challenge of raising children into an entertaining comparison with wine. With a playful approach, inspired by rhyming children's stories and aimed at parents who need both a drink and a smile. The author offers ingenious lessons that combine useful parenting advice with words from the world of wine: from not allowing children to use crying as a tool, to learning to view life with an optimistic and rosy outlook. The book, which mixes entertainment and empathy with creativity and awareness of the reality of being a parent today, is perfect for parents, parents-to-be, or anyone who loves wine and has a sense of humor.
This Wine Lovers Guide to Parenting by Danielle Frank is a hilarious illustrated little book all about wine and parenting (“whine” management). The illustrations are fabulous and really elevate the book. The writing is done in the form of a humorous poem but hidden among the laughs are some useful tips and wine terminology. I also have to mention the fabulous cover, which looks like a wine label on a wine bottle! All in all, this is one of the funniest and most creative little books for wine lovers that I’ve come across. It will make an excellent gift for all your wine-loving friends with kids. I am giving it a well-deserved five out of five stars.
This little gem is the kind of book all harried parents wish they could hide under their pillows. Narrated in the dreamy voice of a bedtime story but filled with wine puns and parenting reality, it's exactly balanced between humor and integrity. I was laughing hysterically as I was nodding in agreement—because, yes, nothing pairs better with a tantrum-throwing toddler than a good glass of red! It’s lighthearted, creative, and the perfect gift for baby showers, new parents, or anyone who’s been in the trenches of parenting and needs a reminder to laugh (and maybe pour a glass). A fun, witty read that parents will instantly relate to.
A Wine Lover’s Guide to Parenting is the kind of book every tired parent secretly wishes they’d written themselves. I loved how Danielle Frank perfectly captures the chaos, humor, and exhaustion of parenting. It’s witty and clever, and I enjoyed reading it from beginning to end. I loved how it uses classic rhyming storybook style to deliver lessons that every adult will actually relate to (and laugh out loud at). Really recommended.
Parenting tips. Wine lessons. Whine management. There's nothing about this book that I didn't love. It offers some valuable advice that helps improve sanity while also adding some fun tid bits about wine. I love the illustrations and how short each passage is, as it does allow parents to read between chaotic moments. This is a win all around, so I highly recommend to parents of all stages in their parenting journey.
As an aunt and wine enthusiast, I can attest that this book is the perfect pour—witty, wise, and just the right balance of humor and heart. Danielle Frank masterfully blends wine analogies with real-talk advice on everything from toddler tantrums (think: decanting patience) to teen negotiations (pairing boundaries with a bold red). It's refreshing, relatable, and left me laughing out loud while nodding in solidarity. If you're raising kids (or grapes), this book is a must-read. Highly recommend—salud to Danielle for this gem!
I was recently looking for a gift for my sister, who's son just turned one year old. New mothers seem to already have everything... and seasoned mothers have everything AND MORE. I was absolutely tickled and thrilled to have found this book, it's the perfect gift!! I read the first couple pages and had to see where the author was going to take it next... and then suddenly I'd read the whole thing It was witty, cute, and silly, but legitimately informative- about parenting AND wine. What a brilliant concept. Ordering this as a "baby gift" for every baby shower and child's birthday that I'm invited to from here on out! May even pair with a bottle of wine
This book is more than just a joke about wine and motherhood. Danielle Frank combines honest parenting advice with a comical look at the everyday difficulties of being a parent. Through real anecdotes, practical reflections, and clever comparisons to the world of wine, she offers an approachable and lighthearted take on family life. I liked it because it conveys that it's okay to laugh at mistakes, that no one is perfect, and that humor (and sometimes a glass of wine) helps to cope with the challenges of raising children.
